RAIA: Sporting Club Davorlim defeated St Anthony’s SC, Assolda, 4-1 to move ahead in the Betalbatim Villagers Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Betalbatim SC at Betalbatim panchayat ground, on Thursday.
Reeve DCosta scored a hat-trick for SC Davorlim, while Agnelo Colaco netted a goal. Victorino Fernandes gave the lead to St Anthony SC at the start of the match.
Earlier, Fr Agnel YSC, Paroda, got the better of St Anthony SC, Colva, 5-1 to enter the semi-finals.
Fr Agnelo YSC netted a brace each through Reagen Costa and Joy, Salvin Fernandes added one goal. For St Anthony SC, Rayan reduced the margin.
John Rato, former Betalbatim Sporting Club player, gave away the man-of-the-match to the Reagan Costa of Fr Agnel YSC.
