PANJIM: United Boys of Dando, Colva, and Carmona SC battled to a 1-1 draw in the GFA Division III League, Salcete Zone (Group A) match played at St John the Baptist ground, Benaulim, on Sunday.
UB Dando made an aggressive opening move, with Keegan Fernandes launching a lightning attack in just the 2nd minute.
Carmona SC, finding themselves down early, showed resilience and grit. They patiently built their position and equalised through Joseph Kannady comparable to a perfectly executed tiki-taka move.
As the match progressed, the midfield battle intensified, with both teams vying for control of the center. UB Dando’s Valonuel Gois and Gourang Sardessai both received yellow cards, perhaps overzealous in their attempts to gain positional advantage.
