Wushu selection trials for 33rd Senior National Wushu championship

PANJIM: The Association of Goa Wushu will be holding selection trials for the State team to represent Goa at the 33rd Senior National Wushu Championship in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. These trials are also aimed at selecting players for the upcoming 38th National Games. The trials are scheduled for September 5, from 4 pm to 5 pm, at the Health and Recreation Hall, Porta Vaddo, Siolim. The trials will feature the following categories: Sanda (Bouts): Men: 56 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg, 85 kg, 90 kg, 90 kg+; Women: 45 kg, 48 kg, 52 kg, 56 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg. Participants in Sanda events must be 18 years of age or older. Taolu (Routine Events): Men & Women: Barehand, Short Weapon (sword), Long Weapon (stick, spear), Taijiquan, Taijishan, Taijijian, Nanquan, Gunshu, Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu. Participants in Taolu events must be 16 years of age or older. Additionally, Kungfu players are welcome to participate in Kungfu events. The selection trials are open to athletes from any martial arts background.
